Four questioned over violent incident at Ennis school

Gardaí were last night questioning four people, including a teenage boy, following an alleged incident during which a man was chased through a primary school classroom by at least one other man wielding a weapon.

The incident began shortly before 1.45pm outside the Holy Family Junior School on Station Rd in Ennis.

A man ran from his parked vehicle into the school grounds and through a classroom in an effort to escape his assailants. Witnesses say the man was pursued by as many as three people and that one had a machete.
