A specialist company, equipped with driving simulators, yesterday trained its 5,000th young person amid plans for major expansion around the country.

Cork haulage company M&T Enterprises built a six car system of simulators within a mobile truck, two years ago, and embarked on teaching schoolchildren the do’s and don’ts of driving in a safe environment.

Yesterday, the company, which is now called SIM DRIVE, rolled out the simulators in Bandon, much to the appreciation of the drivers of tomorrow.
