12,000 fans at O2 gig need just One Direction

The boyband du jour, One Direction were in town for one night only and they had their 12,000 Irish fans in their pockets from the get go.

Up to 12,000 kids, or Directioners as they call themselves, forked out from €35 to €120 for the gig which kicked off with a camper van video of the boys on hols. They then belted out favourites like ‘I Got a Feeling’, ‘Valerie’ and ‘Stereo Heart’.
