Residents shocked by fatal stabbing

RESIDENTS in a normally crime-free town are trying to come to terms with a fatal stabbing of a 25-year-old man.

The victim, Jonathan Daly, had been socialising in the Cork harbour town of Passage West on Thursday, prior to the street attack.

Results of a postmortem were not disclosed but the dead man may have been stabbed a number of times.
