Hogan promises action over city regeneration ‘scandal’

LIMERICK’S regeneration programme needs to be refocused and concentrate on the construction of new homes, Environment Minister Phil Hogan said yesterday.

He promised residents in the four estates designated for regeneration action would be seen on the building front.

“I think there was too much focus on relocation and demolition rather than construction, and building communities in a more constructive way,” said the minister.
