Girl, 10, who claimed she was raped in school toilet fed gardaí ‘a load of lies’

A 10-YEAR-OLD girl told gardaí she was raped in the toilets of her school by a teenage boy, but later admitted she had lied.

Gardaí have established that they were “fed a load of lies” by the young girl, who told her father she was raped at lunchtime last Tuesday at the school in Ennis.

The incident was alleged to have occurred at the CBS primary school in the town and was reported to gardaí later in the day. A full investigation was immediately launched.
