Medicines board warns over slimming pills bought online
The Irish Medicines Board (IMB) issued a warning against anyone taking any product that contains Siburamine, banned here and across the European Union in 2010, but still included in some products, often fraudulently not listed.
Sibutramine was banned because of its links to the increased risk of stroke and heart attack, and the IMB said anyone who may have taken a product containing it and who may be experiencing any illness should contact their doctor immediately.
