O’Connor to give marriage another go

HER most famous album may have been “I Do Not Want What I Haven’t Got” but it appears her fourth husband is someone Sinead O’Connor is not yet prepared to do without.

O’Connor to give marriage another go

After a very public separation 16 days after she tied the knot with Barry Herridge in Las Vegas, the “Nothing Compares to You” singer took to Twitter to announce, in typically unrestrained fashion, that they were giving the relationship another go.

“Spent beautiful evening of love making with nine (sic) other than husband! Who turned up angelically we decided to be boyfriend and girlfriend,” she wrote on the social networking site under her username @vampyahslayah. A few hours later, she added “Yay!!! we decided to be boyfriend and girlfriend again an stay married but we did rush so we gonna return to b friend g friend”. Later still she wrote “me husband is a big hairy cave man an came to claim me with his club :) and now im in cave-land”.

The couple married in Las Vegas on December 8 after a whirlwind romance, after Ms O’Connor had attracted publicity by writing in her blog about her search for a man.

However, on her website 16 days later the singer announced the marriage was over and said they had only spent seven days together up to Christmas Eve.

She said Mr Herridge, a drugs counsellor for children, was “enormously wounded” after she dragged him on a search for marijuana in the less salubrious parts of Las Vegas after their marriage ceremony.

In the message posted after the breakup, she described Herridge as a “wonderful man” who she loved very much and she said she was sorry she was “not a more regular woman”.

“I truly believe though it is painful to admit, we made a mistake rushing into getting married,” she wrote.

It would appear that she is determined to take it more slowly this time, perhaps with a little outside help.

She also tweeted that they would be “sickenly (sic) happy an go counsellin an move in in like a yr like regular people... but stay married an we all in love”.
