A MAN who threatened to chop the heads off gardaí with a slash hook as they dealt with a heated domestic incident has been sentenced to five months in prison.

Mark O’Sullivan, aged 27, of Bridevalley Park, Fairhill in Cork pleaded guilty to charges arising out of two separate incidents.

Judge Con O’Leary imposed a total sentence of five months at Cork District Court.
