More courthouses to close in 2012

FURTHER courthouse closures are likely in 2012 as the Courts Service aims to consolidate services.

The service has warned “every county and district” is included in a continuing review.

Defence and Justice Minister Alan Shatter announced the closure of a number of courthouses in October but since then Portarlington courthouse, which was not on the list, has closed.
