Vita Cortex owners urged to ‘do decent thing’

Describing the spirits of the workers as “very high”, Mr O’Flynn called on the company owners, company chairman Sean McHenry and his son-in-law, Tipperary businessman Jack Ronan, to “do the decent thing” and give their former employees redundancy.

Workers have been staging a sit-in at the foam packaging plant on Cork’s Kinsale Road since the company closed on December 16, leaving them without any redundancy payments. They have promised to continue their action until the situation is resolved to their satisfaction.
