AA urges travel caution as thousands drive, fly and sail home for Christmas

THE traditional Christmas exodus from cities begins in earnest at lunchtime today.

AA Roadwatch is urgingmotorists to take care and to allow increased time for their journeys.

Tens of thousands will hit the roads but more than 600,000 passengers will be travelling through Dublin Airport, alone, over the Christmas break.
