NAMA to lease out 2,000 units via councils

NAMA is to release 2,000 of the properties it controls for social housing next year.

The homes will be made available to ease waiting lists, with more units to follow.

The properties will be leased via local authorities and housing associations following pressure from Environment Minister Phil Hogan on the agency.
