THE Cabinet must conduct an “independent review” into the actions of NAMA in the Vita Cortex redundancy controversy, Fianna Fáil finance spokesperson Michael McGrath has said.

He described as “disgraceful” the treat- ment of former workers at the Cork site, who have been told by NAMA they cannot be given redundancy payments. Mr McGrath said the Govern- ment must now intervene.

“Michael Noonan should ask a senior official within his department to review NAMA’s position on this issue,” he said.
