‘I can’t go away, my fake tan is too good’

NOT losing enough weight before a trip and fear of becoming “too Spanish” are among the reasons for people choosing to postpone holidays, according to a survey.

One family cancelled a Turkish break as their three children had been “misbehaving tremendously and did not deserve to go”, the survey by travel agency sunshine.co.uk found.

One woman abandoned her holiday plans as she had achieved a “really good fake tan” and no longer needed to go away to sunbathe.
