THE critically acclaimed Ivory Tower restaurant in Cork, run by TV chef Seamus O’Connell has been closed after the High Court enforced a food safety order.

Mr O’Connell confirmed he had shut the restaurant on Prince’s St, but still hoped to reach an agreement with the Food Safety Authority (FSAI) of Ireland to reopen for Christmas.

The celebrity chef said he was not “in the business of poisoning people” and ran a “high quality” restaurant.
