WIFE killer Eamon Lillis is entitled to a half share in assets jointly owned by himself and his dead wife Celine Cawley, including the couple’s family home in Howth, the High Court has ruled.

Ms Cawley’s family and the couple’s daughter Georgia sought an order preventing Lillis, aged 53, who is serving a sentence of six years and 11 months sentence for the manslaughter of his wife in December 2008, from securing any interest in assets jointly owned by the couple.

Yesterday Ms Justice Mary Laffoy held “it was not possible to conclude that Lillis’s share in the joint assets was automatically severed on the death of Ms Cawley”.
