€100 household charge likely to rise sharply in coming years

IRISH families will next year face a new €100 household charge — which is likely to rise sharply in the coming years.

The Government has said this fee is a temporary measure and a more comprehensive property valuation system should be ready by the middle of next year.

The €100 does not have to be paid outright but can be paid in instalments.
