EU logo to capture spirit of Ireland

IT could have been a begging bowl, a leaked budget document, or even a picture of two fingers.

Instead, the Government has chosen images of waves, spirals and what looks like an arrow gone wrong as the shortlist of logos to portray our relationship with Europe ahead for the country’s EU presidency in 2013.

The public is being asked to vote in an online poll for the logo that “best represents the image the country wants to project”.
