Aviva gives staff clearer picture of plan for job cuts
Up to 1,250 positions at the health insurer are earmarked to either be outsourced or scrapped. Yesterday, the workers’ trade union was told none of the positions would go before Christmas. The first redundancies now appear likely to be in March at the earliest.
Since the company announced the redundancy drive at the end of October, staff had been given no detail as to where and exactly when jobs would be lost.
