County taps into goodwill of diaspora

A TEAM of Co Clare promoters, led by international rugby hero Keith Wood, are tapping into the knowledge and expertise of successful natives of the county now plying their trades in Britain.

The celebrated rugby international, now a BBC rugby analyst, led the 40-strong team to London making his native county one of the first in Ireland to harness the goodwill of its British diaspora.

There they met with 250 influential members of its community in London and other parts of Britain to tap into their expertise andwillingness to serve the interests of the county and the country in cash-strapped times.
