Guilty plea over incident that left man quadriplegic

A YOUNG man pleaded guilty to drink driving and dangerous driving causing serious harm to another young man who was rendered quadriplegic as a result of the incident.

Tadhg John O’Sullivan was arraigned on the opening day of the county sessions of Cork Circuit Criminal Court yesterday.

O’Sullivan, of Dean McNamara Place, Newtownshandrum, Co Cork, pleaded guilty to a charge of dangerous driving causing serious harm to Shane Linehan at Ballysallagh, Charleville, Co Cork, on December 17, 2010.
