Gardaí hunt for lone armed raider

GARDAÍ are searching for an armed raider who held a female shop assistant at knife-point before robbing cash from the premises and locking her in a room inside.

The lone raider struck minutes after the Clothes.ie shop at the Hazelwood Shopping Centre in Glanmire, Co Cork, opened for business on Saturday morning.

According to gardaí, the man burst into the shop at 9.15am and threatened the female shop assistant with what appeared to be a kitchen knife.
