Several questioned as attack leaves Midleton nurse critical

GARDAÍ have interviewed a number of people who they believe were involved in an attack which left a 26-year-old psychiatric nurse in hospital in a critical condition.

The victim, named as Cian McCarthy from Midleton, was attacked in Cork city centre on during the early hours of Tuesday.

It is understood he was involved in an argument in a supermarket which spilled out onto the street, where he was attacked by a number of people.
