Irish men shy away from love online

IRISH men are less likely to find love by using online dating websites, an industry study has claimed.

The research, carried out by Europe’s largest matchmaking service, www.parship.ie, said, compared with rival online loves on the continent, the male population of this country is not choosing to find romance online.

Resident dating expert Avril Mulcahy has offered to help get more Irish men to find love online.

The Tipperary-born dating expert shot to prominence this year when she undertook the mammoth task of going on 40 dates in just 40 days.

What better qualifications can you muster in the art of romance and now Avril is here to give Irish men a helping hand.

Avril believes that Irish men and women need to look at the potential of online dating. “During my 40 dates in 40 days, I realised that a lot of Irish singles, particularly the men, still believe that the local pub or nightclub is the best place to meet potential partners.”

Many of Parship’s success stories in Ireland and across Europe are couples who live in different parts of the country, or different countries, and would not have met under normal circumstances.

Avril will be on hand on parship.ie to offer all sorts of advice including how to write an online profile, how to make good first impression, overcoming shyness and even asking that someone special out on a second date.
