Customs seize 140kg of cannabis worth over €1m

THE suspicions of a customs officer led to the seizure of a massive haul of cannabis, estimated to be worth over €1 million on the street.

A truck with a 12m container carrying over 140kg of cannabis was about to leave Dublin Port when an experienced customs officer asked the driver a few questions.

She became suspicious and directed the driver to pull over and let a drug detection dog examine the container.
