Skibbereen aims to become friendliest town in Ireland

A WEST Cork town aims to become the friendliest place to visit and shop in Ireland.

Skibbereen, which has just held its inaugural friendly business award, aims to expand on this next year by getting all its 2,500 population involved in providing a real Céad Mile Fáilte to all its visitors.

Sean Murray, chairman of the Skibbereen Business Association, said the town would benefit from such an approach.
