FIANNA Fáil is planning to open up some of its private meetings to the public in a bid to attract new blood.

Party headquarters has issued a document to members containing dozens of proposals for organisational reform.

One proposal is that each Fianna Fáil comhairle ceantair, or district executive, opens at least two of its meetings each year to the public in “town hall” style events. This would facilitate “public discussions on party policy matters and other matters of local interest”.
