HOUSE prices in Cork are falling by less than the national average, with estate agents saying there are more cash buyers in the market.

According to Sherry FitzGerald more than a quarter of potential purchasers in Dublin are cash buyers, with many more waiting in the wings.

The Sherry FitzGerald house price index shows the average selling price of a second-hand property in Ireland fell by 4.6% in the third quarter, with Dublin seeing a 4.4% fall.
