Repeat drink-drivers could have ‘alcolocks’ fitted to cars
Noel Brett, the RSA chief executive, said work was continuing on a plan that would allow judges the option of imposing the fitting of the devices as part of sentencing.
It follows moves within the EU to have the in-car breathalysers fitted in all vehicles. Motorists would have to blow into the device and would need to be under the drink-drive limit for the vehicle to start.
