CSO survey: 87% of adults believe they are in good health

IRISH people still believe themselves to be in good health according to new figures, even though 70% of adults visit the doctor at least once a year.

The National Quarterly Household Survey results for the third quarter of last year, published by the Central Statistics Office (CSO), shows that 87% of all adults believe they were in good health last year, although the figure decreased with age.

People in Dublin perceived themselves as being in the best shape with 89% saying their health was good or very good, against 84% in other regions, although non-Irish nationals thought themselves healthier again, at 93%.
