Seán Grehan from Swords, Co Dublin, won the aquarium from Sharkeys Cuts for Kids Hairdressers in Malahide. He correctly guessed the birth date of a baby shark which had hatched in the salon. He won the honour of naming the baby shark which he has called Storm.

Along with that honour he won an aquarium worth more than €500. The boy with the big heart is giving the aquarium to the children in Temple Street so they can enjoy the array of interesting sea life from all over the world.

Also attending the handover yesterday was Kealan Doyle from the Seahorse aquarium in Ballymount, Dublin, who was there to inform the children about the fish in the tank.

Mo Durkan, head of communications at the Children’s hospital, said they were most grateful to Sharkeys for running the competition and for the aquarium. “It will certainly cheer up our young patients” said Ms Durkan.
