Fans get ready to cheer for Irish X Factor hopeful

ALL of Ireland will be watching the X Factor tonight and cheering on Dublin singing sensation Melanie McCabe.

The 18-year-old, who has been compared to Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey because of her soulful voice, flew to Manchester in June for the open auditions.

Melanie was tight-lipped when asked how well she got on in the auditions but did admit yesterday: “I was very pleased with my performance, I did well.”
