VINTAGE car fans travelled from all over Ireland to Crookstown, Co Cork, yesterday for the national rally of the Irish Vintage Society, which was held in the village for the first time.

Crookstown has been home to a vintage show for 23 years, with exhibits usually averaging at the 200 mark.

However, yesterday’s event had hundreds of additional exhibits arising out of the connection with the society, including vintage cars, tractors, motorbikes, stationary engines and farm implements.
