Disgraced solicitor may be returned to stand trial

DISGRACED former solicitor Michael Lynn is facing the possibility of being brought back to Ireland, arrested and forced to stand trial over a string of multi-million euro property fraud claims.

Files sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) made the recommendation after officers investigating the fugitive since 2007 said they no longer believed Mr Lynn will voluntarily co-operate with inquiries.

Mr Lynn has been living in Portugal, Hungary and Bulgaria for the past four years after an investigation was opened into claims he misused millions of euro in clients’ money to fund his own lifestyle.
