THREE tonnes of loose tobacco worth €2.5 million were seized by customs officers yesterday.

Revenue officials found the stash in Dublin Port in a consignment that arrived from China.

The tobacco was described on the manifest as “polyresin crafts” and was concealed in large polyresin urns.
