Garda appeal to help find missing teens

Anthony McInerney, 17, and Luke Cronin, 16, were last seen at 1am on July 18 at Main Street, Bantry, walking in the direction of Church Road.

A Garda spokesman said it was unusual for the teenagers to go missing for any length of time.

The two youths are believed to be together. Luke is described as being approx 6ft in height with short blonde hair and a slender build. When last seen, he was wearing a light-coloured tracksuit .

Anthony, who lives in the town’s Chapel Street, was last seen wearing a black and white zipped tracksuit top and black tracksuit pants along with a black baseball cap. He is described as being approximately 6ft tall, thin build with black hair.

Both youths were reportedly socialising before they went missing. Gardaí have been studying CCTV footage but believe the pair may have left Bantry.

Gardaí are anxious to hear from anyone who may have given the teenagers a lift and are also appealing to the boys’ friends to come forward if they have any information as to the pair’s whereabouts.

Anybody with information is asked to contact Bantry Garda Station at 027-50045.
