HUNDREDS of jobs at one of the country’s most important pharmaceutical sites could be wiped out later today in the latest private company “restructuring” to hit Ireland.

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) — which is one of the most high-profile drugs firms in the world — will reveal details of the controversial plans to its 700-strong workforce in west Waterford this afternoon.

While the exact plans have yet to be confirmed, it is understood that significant restructuring at the plant and potential job losses will be outlined.
