Heaslip: Toughest work I’ve ever done

IRISH rugby star Jamie Heaslip said a visit to Kolkata in India, as part of a Goal project, was the toughest manual labour he has ever undertaken.

The world-class No 8’s tasks included shovelling clay, pushing wheelbarrows full of mud and carrying and stacking bricks for hours in intense heat.

Heaslip, along with London Irish captain and Goal patron Bob Casey, were based at one of the 35 brick-making factories on the outskirts of the city, formerly known as Calcutta, where Goal is delivering aid.
