Limerick bar toasts top tourism accolade

LIMERICK has received a major boost after one of the city’s popular drinking spots was named Best Tourist Bar in Ireland.

The Locke Bar on George’s Quay received the top prize at the Licensing World Awards held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Dublin.

The riverside bar beat off stiff competition from all around the country. Proprietor Richard Costello and his wife Anna who accepted the award said they were delighted with the national recognition.
