New chairs for CIÉ and groups

TWO of four new chairpersons appointed to CIÉ and its three subsidiaries nominated themselves for a position under a Government initiative.

Both Kevin Bonner, the new chairman of Dublin Bus, and Paul Mallee, the new chairman of Bus Éireann, responded to public ads for the state transport group.

Vivienne Jupp will become CIÉ chairperson, while Phil Gaffney has been appointed chairman of Iarnród Éireann.
