New measures set to tackle money laundering

THE Government plans to tighten up laws on money laundering by criminal groups and terrorist organisations.

Proposed measures will incorporate internet and digital technologies into existing anti-money laundering requirements.

And customers will face more extensive examination by those in financial institutions and professional bodies.
