A MAN has been convicted of attacking a man and a small child as they went to buy ice cream.

Stephen Faulkner, of Bakers Road, Cork, denied the charge of assaulting Joaquim Morais and a three-year-old boy but Judge Leo Malone convicted him on both assaults.

Mr Morais was taking two small children to a shop for ice cream when Faulkner punched him in the nose and kicked one of the children in the head.
