Vodafone lays off 139 workers

VODAFONE IRELAND is to dispense with the services of 139 members of Rigney Dolphin, the company it has contracted to provide call centre services.

The company confirmed that, as part of a review of its “contracted call centre operations”, it was moving some of those operations to other locations within the Vodafone Group and to other Irish contractors.

“This decision will impact 45 Vodafone roles and 139 in Rigney Dolphin,” it said. “All impacted Vodafone employees will be offered the opportunity to transfer to alternative roles.”
