Gardaí follow several lines of inquiry in murder hunt

GARDAÍ are investigating a number of lines of inquiry in relation to the brutal gun murder of a 20-year-old man near his home in west Dublin.

Dean Johnson was sitting in the rear of a stationary car on Moorefield Avenue in Neilstown when a hooded gunman walked up and fired four shots in through a passenger window, hitting him in the head and upper body.

A young mother, a friend of Mr Johnson’s girlfriend, was in the front of the car at the time. She was not injured, but was left severely traumatised.
