Broadcasting complaints upheld

COMPLAINTS against high-profile radio shows presented by George Hook, Ryan Tubridy and Ray D’Arcy have been upheld by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI).

Broadcasting complaints upheld

A complaint by Dermot Coogan against Mr Hook’s treatment of then health minister Mary Harney on November 10 last year in relation to a report by the Ombudsman, Emily O’Reilly, was upheld.

The BAI found that Mr Hook “persisted with statements and allegations in a partial manner and concluded that the presenter dealt with the subject matter in an unfair manner”.
