Kenny pushes the ‘green’ agenda in New York

ENDA KENNY has never received enough credit for his environmental consciousness but during his whirlwind trip to New York he was remarkably keen to push the green agenda.

Those members of the city’s Irish-American community who gathered for his appearance at the Irish Consulate on Park Avenue on Wednesday night were told to remain positive about the economic potential of “our little green island”.

Then yesterday, a few blocks uptown, the Council for Foreign Relations heard about how “our little green island” was full of confidence.
