FG expels councillor over double expenses’ claim

FINE GAEL has moved to expel one of its councillors who claimed expenses on the double for two different conferences that took place on the same weekend.

Donegal county councillor Terence Slowey has been kicked out of the party after a decision by FG’s disciplinary committee to expel him.

But the councillor has appealed the decision meaning his expulsion has been frozen while a decision is made by the committee.
