No ‘rush’ to sell state assets, insists Gilmore

THE Government is not in “any rush” to sell state assets, Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore has said.

He was responding in the Dáil to criticism of the latest McCarthy report.

The report outlines how €5 billion of state assets — such as airports, seaports, and parts of the ESB and Bord Gáis — could be sold to pay down the country’s debt.
