Miscarriage error mother cherishes son’s every day

A mother who insisted on a second scan after wrongly being told she suffered a miscarriage has said she cherishes every milestone in her young son’s life.

Melissa Redmond, from Donabate in north Dublin, admitted she feels she had alucky escape every time she looks at her son Michael, now 13 months old.

“Michael is a lovely happy little boy. He is just a joy to have around. He feeds well, sleeps well, everything you could wish for. He is a dream,” she said. “Every time I look at him what happened never leaves me.
